Can you help me please with this error?
I play Mario and Luigi: Bowser's story and after sometime of playing, or when I try to do a savestate it gives me the error: Microsoft Visual C++ runtime Error
and Desmume freezes and stops.
I searched everywhere and I didn't anyone that has the same problem with playing the desmume, but there are a lot of people having this problem by other things. To solve the problem I read to download C++ and recompile it.
I did it and the problem still remains.
Also another "solution" was to download a registry cleaner program. I did it, the program found a lot of errors, corrected them, but the problem still remains.
I don't know if the error happens only with this game but I cannot solve it. Can someone help me please??

that problem has no pattern to it, it just means the computer malfunctioned. reboot, turn off your virus scanner, and make sure youre using the latest desmume from a directory on your hard drive, not directly from the zip file or from a USB drive

I did restart my computer, my virus scanner is turned off and I am using desmume 0.9.5 from my computer and not from a usb or an unzipped file.. So there is no solution?

I can reel off things to try all day long, but youre basically suffering from gimpy windows syndrome. Upgrade/downgrade your video drivers, uninstall junky software, reinstall non-junky software, uninstall unnecessary software, reinstall OS, etc. This isn't desmume's fault, it is up to you to fix your PC.

Like zero said, this doesn't seem to be an emulator problem. I've never had this issue. Maybe downloading and installing the Visual C++ Redistributable, but I have no clue of that fixes anything. Just keep fiddling around...sry

Yes, i've played through the game on 0.9.4 & 0.9.5 with no problems.

I agree with Dio on this one,it might just be the type of computer you have, mine is Windows 7.[I have the same problem]
And to the Admin.
when I checked the userlist why is there so many
users who've been banned for spam or etc.?
For example the "!!!buy_drugs" user.

Awesome phrase from some guy:
1.I am always right.
2.If in any case I appear wrong, refer to rule number 1.

I had this problem too. The only way I could find to work around it is to save the state about every 2-5 min. and then immediately reload from the savestate. Reloading 'resets the timer' to failure. You can run the game perpetually this way.
Smells like a memory leak. And it's a regression in 0.9.5. The game runs fine (albeit with other, more serious problems) in 0.9.4.

Wouldn't updating the visual c runtimes help ?
It can't hurt.

no.
there may be a memory leak in m&l3 in 0.9.5. I think it was fixed just after the 0.9.5 release.
