Action replay problem

Hi, when I am trying to use the AR Codes that required the L+R buttons to activate, desmume would freeze/crash. Is the cheat system not perfect yet?
PS: If my problem has been answered on the FAQ, then please close this topic.

Re: Action replay problem

Pokemon Heart Gold, the code is as follows:
Pichu Event
HeartGold

94000130 FCFF0000 62110DC0 00000000 B2110DC0 00000000 E0018678 00000088 E4CFFCFB E3CC0000 30A4409D A14135E3 1D6150D0 C983A6E1 A19B72CF B74BE702 34E71A8D 2BFE795C 63F68436 681A8C46 96BAFDA5 5F65EF3A 84C46BA2 470DB45E 2131E2F4 E610CBA0 1D508C19 2E9BF3D3 D51D098C 9EC4D347 A8EDBD97 376A8127 322A5D78 31877EC8 5E098FF1 2D069E9C BE581EC0 5777FEB5 E96DEECA A6E2F431 54BCC0F3 1FF4E035 D2000000 00000000
L+R to activate.
After I enter the code and tried to activated with L+R, I get the application crash.
P.S. This doesn't happens with the Wild Pokemon Modifier code that required start button and R button.

Re: Action replay problem

for technical reference: games which do very evil things can easily crash the emulator right now, as its stability is dependent on regular behavior. Games that crash for any reason, including mis-application of cheat codes, could crash the emu just from memory-stomping from still poorly coded things.

Re: Action replay problem

Oh thanks XD. So for the conclusion: it's the action replay code's problem, not the emulator's problem.

It may not be all the time but for this case it's most likely smile

Re: Action replay problem

Manage to solve it by transfering save to nogba and get the event pokemon then transfer the save back to desmume.
I do the same with the Celebi event code.

Re: Action replay problem

I'm pretty sure you don't need to use a master code. I've used codes fine without it before.
