I just tried some games, and desmume is neither loading nor creating save states.
This bug wasnt present on builds from 17-march.

Geforce 8600GT 256MB / Windows XP PRO SP3

Well at least on windows it didnt work.
CyberWarriorX told it they were working for him too.
Gonna take a look at my compile options just to make sure...
EDIT: looks like i was just missing some stuff there, ill report later.
Yeah the desmume.dev file was updated w/out the libs, i had to add them again, sorry for the trouble.

Same here, but on linux.
How could I enable save states when compiling like this?
./autogen.sh && ./configure && make

Hmm... i don't know what to say... i've just tested with the gtk-glade UI and savestates work fine.
AFAIK, no special steps required.

I meant game saves. That saves stored on .sav files, you know.

Hey, it works only with desmume-glade when choosing save type FRAM (2MB). Automatic doesn't work, and since I can't choose the save type in desmume-gtk or desmume-cli it won't work in there.
I don't like desmume-glade so much because is much slower than the others on my computer. I can get half of frame rates gotten on desmume-gtk or desmume-cli.

For some games the auto option dont work.
You have to try a few to find out.

That's very interesting. Which version of desmume are you running? Is it built from source and if so, have you tried recently?
With the current CVS version, there's a known problem with both gtk and gtk-glade UIs.
It runs faster with "./desmume-glade --gdk-gl-force-indirect" than without the gdk option.
This still has to be investigated.
Edit: Perhaps this deserves a new thread.

Wow! With that option it runs as fast as desmume-gtk and desmume-cli. I haven't noticed it because there was no help in command line.
I'm running a cvs version downloaded and built this afternoon. I built it from the source.

I can't notice any slowdown on desmume-gtk. It only happens to me with desmume-glade. My computer specs, if it helps:

02:02.0 Multimedia audio controller: Creative Labs SB Live! EMU10k1 (rev 07)
