Pokemon Platinum game speed?

My rom is running really slow outside of battle scenes, is there any way to make it run faster? (I have a good computer btw)

nope. first of all, pokemon is slow as molasses anyway. second of all, desmume is running that game code at aslower framerate than it should due to a glitch. finally, the game is working hard right there for some reason so the emulation has to work hard too and so on top of everything else the emulator is just chugging.

I don't know if it's just me, but I get Pokemon in a better speed with 0.9.2 than 0.9.4 and a build of 0.9.5 (one that makes migration available, I think 2866?)
Anyways, I don't know if it's faster, but it's about the same speed and smoother than 0.9.4. Maybe it's just me though.

It is entirely possible for the speeds of games to go down when new versions of the emulator are released. Speed may go up or down at any time, that is not our primary consideration.

Yeah, isn't primary concern to fix bugs and extend compatibility to as many games as possible? If you want speed, play on your DS. IMO speed isn't a real concern for me unless something gets broken and it drops significantly.

The primary concern is to balance tons of different scenarios and come up with the most broadly useful thing possible for the cases we care most about. Speed is a factor in that, but not to the exclusion of other things.
