Yes, I noticed. I managed to get myself banned from another emulators forum by simply stating the names of other emulators, can you imagine ? The folks around here seem to be a whole lot friendlier, and thus make it much more likely for me to contribute.

But I still think it's weird, running DeSmuME on a VMWare Server Virtual Machine running Linux Fedora 10 on the same host, I suddenly get a fps of roughly 60 fps for the same game on the same machine.

Re: Pokemon Pearl

Fixed in SVN. You can compile it, or just wait for the next release.

It is weird. You have a crappy video card or a broken windows install.

Or you have crappy or broken code on the windows port, but perfect code on the linux port.

Re: Pokemon Pearl

Possibly. But since it works for anyone else, dont expect it to get fixed any time soon.

Allright, I won't. Actually, I don't expect anything from open-source developers except that they spare some amount of their spare time on some part of the code that catches their interest wink

But it really confuses me that this only occurs with Pokemon Preal/Diamond, and not with other games...
But perhaps the other users who don't have the problem have a different configuration ?

Just for the record, my computer specs are :

Windows Vista SP1
4GB Ram
DirectX version 10
NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS 256 MB

Not really a crappy configuration is it ? It may not be bleeding edge technology either, but it should do just fine (and actually does with desmume with most other games i tried)

Re: Pokemon Pearl

Allright, I did a release/interim build of the latest svn with MSVC 2008 of the SSE version, and that runs at a normal speed. Thanks to zeromus for guiding me through the process on IRC.

AR codes have been implemented in SVN. Next release will let you cheat your heart out.
