Memory usage problem (mac)

I've build the 0.9.1 with Xcode and it works. Afer launching it, Desmume use approximatively 90 mo of memory, but when i open a rom, the memory usage begin to increase, after a few minutes all my real memory is used (Desmume can use 500 mo or more if i launch it after a reboot). When there is no more free real memory it begins to use virtual memory and swap on my hard drive (slowing down my computer dramaticaly by the same way). I've got 4 go of free hard drive and after a few time Desmume can use it all !!! =O
Hope my explanation is clear enough.

It's the only application which does that, and if I remember well i had the same problem with 0.8.

Any idea about the problem?

PPC G5; macos 10.4.11; 1Go ram

Could this be a PPC issue? I compiled and ran 0.9.1 on my Mac Mini (Core 2 Duo, 1 GB RAM, Mac OS X 10.5.6) and noticed no such problem.
