TLDR; FEATURE REQUEST: touch screen mouse capture makes the control of ds fps games better.
On the physical DS system FPS titles like Metroid Hunters and Dementium utilize a control scheme where dragging the stylus across the touch screen replicates traditional mouse pointer movement, because of the nature of the physical border surrounding the touch screen it was taken for granted that the stylus would stop at the border of the touch screen and the player could immediately lift and reset the position of the stylus in the center for farther pointer movement. Unfortunately emulated in a computer window with no physical representation of the touch screen border this creates problems. While the player will still know that they have exceeded the range of touch screen coverage when the their view in the game locks because of the variable distance a player's mouse will tend to drift off screen this will make the process for re centering moderately more difficult and time consuming. In a vacuum this is not such a huge deal, you can still roughly play these games by keeping an eye on the cursor in your peripheral vision and having basic muscle memory however there is enough additional friction that over time it makes the emulation of these games a chore compared to what they are like on the physical system. If the solution to this problem was in any way convoluted or experimental I would have kept my mouth shut and not made this post but simply having an option to have the touch screen area capture cursor movement would essentially solve the problem.
