Could not erase data error

Hi,

I recently started a game of "New Super Mario Bros" on Drastic emulator under Batocera. All went good, and the save game file (.dsv) was created successfully.
After a couple of days, when starting the game I got the message:

"Could not erase data. Turn the power off and reinsert the Game Card"

I then tried my save file on Drastic on Android and it loaded successfully.

Then tried it on DeSmuME on Windows and I get the same error as on Batocera. Whan can cause this error on DeSmuME and Drastic, but work fine on Android Drastic?

Thanks!

Re: Could not erase data error

Sounds like one version of drastic has a bug in its save data handling and another version has code designed to recover from that error. Try updating your drastics. If that doesn't help, ask for a refund. Save files corrupted by drastic is not desmume's concern

So you are saying that although Desmume cannot open the file and Drastic Android can is not a Desmume issue? It is just something Drastic Android does to bypass an error in the save file?

Re: Could not erase data error

yes. .dsv file format belongs to desmume. drastic has a history of creating them wrongly.
