Unable to play 2 instances with 1 controller

I wanna play Heartgold/Soulsilver at the same time to shiny hunt but if one instance is being focused then i cant use my controller in the other instance, even with the background input selected.

Any help would be appreciated.

Works fine in principle. It's some problem with your operating system, gamepad drivers, or hotkey managers. trying too hard to send input to the focused window only. Not any of our doing. Look for anything in any of those three areas that sounds like "helpful" game enhancements and disable it.
