Control Stylus with D-Pad or Joystick

I was trying to play Star Fox Command but controlling it with the mouse was very sloppy and I couldn't do it. Maybe there could be a better way. The joystick on my controller is just kinda sitting there doing nothing. I can't think of a better way to do this.

You will need to ask google for a lua script or rom hack which revises the game inputs. You won't find any help here for that.
