Fossil Fighters Champions crashing during cleaning fossils

For some reason, Fossil Fighters Champions has issues with the cleaning fossil gameplay. The game will randomly crash during the part where you need to use a hammer and a drill to clean the fossil so that you can use it for your Vivosaur. Sometimes the music freezes on the same note when it freezes, sometimes the music freezes before it crashes. I am using version git#be2735b3_x64 for reference.

the game will randomly crash, or the EMULATOR will randomly crash? we have previously debugged this scene a lot and found it to be doing some "illegal" things with the 3d engine which should not affect the game but could glitch the emulator. those were fixed so that the game rendered correctly, but we could have messed something up so it's once more able to glitch the emulator

I think Tag365 is referring to the game crashing and not the emulator itself. Out of personal experience, DeSmuME 0.9.13, 0.9.12, and what I imagine every "new" build, all result in these crashes. A user in this reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/fossilfighters … s_desmume/
mentioned that using build 0.9.6 bypassed this crash (I tested this and it was right) and that every following build houses the crash. What I've personally noticed is that no 3D setting changes can make this crash just not happen, and even when the 3D rendering engine is just chosen as "none", it still crashes. It never crashes on a specific frame of the cleaning scene either.

how long does it take to get to a fossil cleaning part? I gave up after I got to the town. can you post a .dsv file?

It's about 9 minutes in-game from start. You'll still have to do a little bit of dialogue mashing each time you do the first cleaning scene if you're going off the raw .dsv. I can go ahead and get one ready for you, how do you post a .dsv?

I just successfully cleaned a triceratops. what's the problem?

The game freezes, like many others, if you enable the jit and then change the jit size, despite all the warnings near it

just quit doing that

Oh I guess it was literally just JIT. I imported my settings and completely forgot to reset it. Thanks for the help!
