help the rom is stuck

i was playing digimon and the rom got stuck in a text, it is a mod rom with the texts in spanish. This error had already happened to me in another part of the game, it is not something that happens at specific moments, it just happens when there is a text, the digimons continue to move in the background but it does not let me leave the text, does anyone know what to do?

stop using savestates. save in-game frequently.
