Can I use second touch screen monitor for DESMUME

I have a 24 inch 1080p monitor and wanted to take one of those raspberry pie 7 inch monitors 1024x600 and put it below my monitor and use it as the touchscreen portion of ds games.

Is this possible? Will the resolution be 1024x600 on both screens or can I have 1080p on top and 1024x600 on bottom.

I wanna get rid of stuff in my room and make a cheap emulator setup at home!

desmume can't split the screen into two windows. You will find it very difficult, if not impossible, to organize things the way you want with a single window straddling the monitors, although desmume does have some limited provision for scaling the views of each screen separately.
