Possible to change Pokemon type in Pokemon platinum?

I'm running platinum rom and curious if there's any way to change a Pokemons type? As you may know, Rotom can change forms but its type doesn't change until after gen 4, so heat Rotom is still ghost/electric rather than fire/electric. Was hoping to change that, thanks for any input in advance.
