Re: Phoenix Wright problem

I'm sorry for bumping a thread this old, and I've no doubt I'll be chastised for it, but it seemed like the best place to voice my concern. I'm currently running v0.8 and I'm still running into the same problems that Yogi is. I guess my question is, "Is there any chance at all that the touchscreen and the mic will be properly implemented in the near future?"

I don't mean to be disrespectful; I know I difficult the compatibility issues can be to resolve for each game and I can hardly expect you to focus all your energy on this one game, which, as it stand, mostly works. I guess I'm just disapointed. I was really looking forward to finishing this game, and frankly yours is the best em out  there.

Re: Phoenix Wright problem

I compiled the latest SVN under linux after chucking out some debugging code that was giving me compile errors (eep), but it looks like the code for detecting where the cursor is on the model isn't implemented yet. Whether or not it's complete, could you please upload a patch I could use to compile desmume with that functionality? I'd be much obliged.

It will not work with version 0.9.5. SVN is the cutting edge development code which people can compile into a working program (hopefully) and use, you can expect updates to the SVN code almost daily.

Re: Phoenix Wright problem

The thing is that Phoenix Wright is so much better than all of those "other quality titles".

You really wont understand until you play them.

Re: Phoenix Wright problem

I'm stuck on Case 5 of PW:AA too. Except instead of the wallet problem (I originally had this problem but downloaded the SVN version), I'm now stuck at the part where you're supposed to Connect the Dots on the jar to spell Ema's name. The lines disappear at some places and won't allow me to connect the dots.

Does anyone else have this problem, or is it just me?

This is very interesting, can you post your savegame + a savestate near that point on a file host?

Better yet, I'll give you a savestate exactly at the spot where it happens. I hope my computer just isn't being wacky...

Re: Phoenix Wright problem

After tinkering around, I managed to solve the connect the dots problem...

Config -> 3D settings -> SoftRasterizer

That made it work for me. See if it works for you guys.

Re: Phoenix Wright problem

Sorry to rez this post, but one more problem.

So, at case 5, pass the 3D inspections, pass the fingerprinting thanks to the internal sound sample(s), solved the case... and at the very end...

...where it wants me to yell "Objection!" through the mic.

Can't do it directly though the mic (though that may be a problem with my mic, and not DeSmuME), and all efforts to pre-record me yelling "OBJECTION!" and using it for a sound sample have been fruitless as well.

Could really use a sound file that gets me pass this point, if it exists, because a OCD Mental Block keeps me from getting to the next game on my list until this is solved.

Re: Phoenix Wright problem

fruitless as in they just dont work or fruitless as in you have failed to produce a wav file which meets the technical requirements such that desmume will permit you to load it?

you should post a savestate where OBJECTION! must be shouted, so that someone who feels like making a wav file for you doesnt have to play through the game in order to do it.

Re: Phoenix Wright problem

They just don't work, I don't get the desmume can't load this error message.

as for the savestate:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KTVHNY37

Sorry I didn't post all this sooner.

EDIT: Also, I'm pretty sure that the chance to yell "Objection!" appears earlier in the game by holding down whatever you've set as the Y button instead of pressing "Present." It's just this is the only time it's mandatory.

Re: Phoenix Wright problem

Yes, I did...

I know, you have to ask these questions when someone's post count is this low, no offence taken big_smile

EDIT: WAITWAITWAIT!!!

I was thinking A as in the default key for Y... not A for the DS...

...thanks for the help zeromus!
