Black screen in the end game of pokemon heartgold

so after I beat lance the first time in pokemon HeartGold there's dialogue and then he takes me to the hall of fame register my pokemon then after the credits are finished they save my game and my game saved and it said save successfully.  Then it takes me to the start screen where then I press start then I press my saved save file and then it's just a black screen. If you know how to fix this plz help me cus u put hours into this and it would be nice to continue the story cause im not even in Kanto yet so help me plz.

stop using cheats or romhacks, or make backups of your .dsv file every time you make an in-game save until you figure out why your computer is corrupting them.

many people have played this game on desmume. there must be videos on youtube. watch those to see what youre doing wrong.  possibly you are using a million years old version of desmume
