Will Linux Version Ever Be Similar To Windows Version?

I been using DeSmuMe for years and recently switched to Linux. DeSmuMe on Linux seems to be lightweight and missing many settings that are on the Windows version. Is there a reason for this? Will the Linux version get an upgrade in the next release?

Also why are the savestates and saved game files sharing the same directory in /home/user/.config/demume/ ?

yes--lack of interest from linux port developers. no. arbitrary selection of linux port developer, most likely. why shouldn't they?

Re: Will Linux Version Ever Be Similar To Windows Version?

Would it be better to use DeSmuMe in Wine? I would rather use DeSmuMe natively but if it is missing many settings and behaves differently in many ways. From all the software I have used on Linux, DeSmuMe is the only one that is different in features and appearance.

I guess DeSmuME Windows version + Wine it is. I hope in the future they make Linux version the same as the Windows version.

I am using Wine 4.0.1 and DeSmuMe works for all of my dozen games except I had to disable to toolbar which is not a big deal.
