Memory Leak on Mac OSX Native version 0.8.0

DeSmuME crashes after several minutes every time I launch it, on my MacBook Core Duo. Looking in Activity Monitor, the amount of memory it uses gradually creeps up as it runs, until it uses up all my physical RAM, when it crashes.

I am using OS X 10.4.11, and have 3GB of system memory.

Do you know if it's specific to any ds software? Also can you test it on one of the other ports by chance? The mac version no doubt has leaks but they probably aren't major enough to cause a crash within several minutes, but I'll see if I can profile the memory usage.

Re: Memory Leak on Mac OSX Native version 0.8.0

Hi,

I just wanted to report that this happened to me too.  I'm also using version 0.8 and am running Mac OSX 10.4.11.

I was trying to run the Harvest Moon rom, and it made my computer run reeeeally slow.  I then clicked into another window and saw that I only had 1 GB of space on my computer when I previously had 3.45 GB or something.  Then it crashed.  I restarted and tested, and noticed that the longer I played the game the more memory was lost (went down gradually, then went back up when the game crashed or I quit).

It takes about 10-15 min for the game to crash.

I was looking in the forum to see how to fix this, but I guess it hasn't been fixed yet sad

Perhaps it's a problem with the 10.4 version then, I'll take a look
