megaman zx advent

ive just downloaded this emulator for the first time and downloaded megaman zx advent.i opened it and its playing the game but for some reason it keeps on blinking the screen over and over from black to the game to black again to the game again.i cant play it like this since the game is only visible for a split second.i dont know if i have the settings wrong or anything because this is the first ds emulator and ds rom i downloaded.ive donwloaded other roms for other systems but this is the first ds one.plz help me with my problem.by the way im using the european version since i couldnt find the US version.i dont know if that could be a problem so im just telling you.
