Now I didn't download this emulator to play Pokemon but I think that it is unfair for you not to make it playable on your emulator. Now this isn't my choice but I think that you should let one of the best games series in the world playable on DeSmuME. For example lets say your whole family has Macs, you download this emulator cause it is the only one available to you. Then you find out that you can't play one of your favorite games on this emulator because the creator doesn't like the idea of having fanboys downloading this emulator.
Well I guessing that you created this emulator so people could play DS on their Macs and PCs. Well wouldn't you want to play Pokemon just because you could. You might not want fanboys downloading this emulator to play certain games fine, but just so you know that there are fanboys on every games. Take me for example: I downloaded this emulator to play Megaman games.
I'm a fanboy, and you said that you want to make it impossible to play Pokemon to stop fanboys. So if you want to stop fanboys the next time you update this emulator make it impossible to play any game that there are fanboys for. So you will have to make it impossible for this emulator run any game for the DS. Then you will be at where you were before you started this project, and I think that you invested to much time into this project to have it all disappear so you can eliminate fanboys from playing their favorite games.
Now granted that this is only one mans opinion but I think that there are others out there that feel the same way as me. So as I leave you with my opinion take a look at your dream that you had when you started to create this emulator. Did you create so people could play DS games on their Macs and PCs? or did you create this emulator so you could say that you are one of the original people to create a DS emulator on Macs and PCs and limit the amount of games that could be played on it? Nw I do not know you but I would guess that it would have been the former. So when you update this emulator remember that you probably created it so people could play their favorite games on your emulator.
I also think by letting your emulator play Pokemon games that your emulator would spread faster than you could have ever hoped. By letting Pokemon be able to run on your emulator you will be remembered far and wide as the first person to create an amazing emulator available for Macs and the first choice for people eager to download an DS emulator for their computer.
If you don't let people play pokemon on your emulator DeSmuME will die off eventually. I believe this because if you are given the choice between an amazing emulator that cannot play Pokemon or an average emulator that can play Pokemon I bet you that 90% of people will choose the one that can play pokemon. Right now you are in the clear because Mac users have no other choice but when No$DS gets better and is able to operate on Macs people will toss you emulator out with the trash and even if you decide to let Pokemon after this emulator dies I think that the reputation it got over not being able to play Pokemon will have people leave it as the last choice for the DS emulator. Now as I give you this information do not post until you have thought about what I said today. Do not just the first thing that jumps into your mind as it will be clouded in anger as someone dose not see things your way.

First, I edited your post for clarity. People use paragraphs to make their texts readable.
Second, I started working on Desmume to get an usable tool to develop homebrew with proper debugging tools, so I couldn't care less about commercial game.
Third, and more important, I (and all the other developers on Desmume, that I know of) work on this for free, on their free time, so we will work on what we prefer. Whether this coincides with the majority of people or not is irrelevant. You're free to learn to code (if you don't know already) and help us, we will be more than happy to have another pair of hands.
Keeping in mind that I don't care about commercial games, that I'm targeted towards a homebrew oriented emulator, and that the homebrew community is more interested on a free, open-source emulator with good debugging capabilities than an emulator that plays whatever game is the favorite of the masses, guess what will receive more work on the future and what not.

Ok I get that you work on it for your free time and that the most popular games will be worked on. Then why hasn't Pokemon because if you took a poll I would say that 90% of people would want to be able to play Pokemon.

Did you read my post at all? Where did I say that popular games will be worked on? I clearly stated that commercial games running is not my focus. And hell, I don't give a damn about what the majority of people prefers, if someone wants something, they better get to work, nothing cames for free in this world.

You did but people have been saying that they want pokemon and I haven't herd you say that you were not working on pokemon. If you are working on trying to get this game working then I'm sorry I didn't know I just assumed that from the way you spoke about pokemon you would not try to get it to run on DeSmuME.

OK, obviously you fail to get the point: I WON'T WORK ON GETTING POKEMON TO WORK. I don't care about other people opinions: if they want any game to work, or a feature that I consider useless, they'll have to code it themselves.
I'm ONLY interested on making a handy development tool FOR DEVELOPERS. That excludes losing dozens of hours debugging a commercial game just because a poll made by a 10 year-old boy and voted by other child says that getting Pokemon to a playable state is a priority.
Is this explanation clear enough, now?
