TWEWY frame rate jumps

I picked up The world ends with you but as I try to play the framerate will either speed up to insane rates 100+ fps I'm talking on low lag areas like the title screen or drop like a rock from 60 fps to 20-30 fps on areas like the field map or more enemy heavy battles please help i fixed the high fps problem by turning limit framerate on but I can't play with the game dropping fps all the time

you can't complain about high framerates if you asked the emulator not to limit the framerate.
in order to fix low framerate problems, read our speedup tips in the faq and consider whether your cpu is up to the task.

true but when i ran megaman starforce dragon it didn't go nuts with the framerate and i didn't fiddle with the framerate beyond checking that frameskip was off framerate limiter was off when i got it i just was not expecting the game to go from the title music to utterly insane speed version of the song THX by the way
