Thoroughly confused how to compile MAC OSX version

okay, i've tried sifting through the forums to learn how to get this emulator running but i'm afraid what everyone is saying is going completely over my head.  All i've managed to do so far is dl and install Fink.  after that, i'm stumped on how to get this package, do that command, etc..

is someone willing to write a nice, simple, dummy-explanation of the steps i need to take to "compile" the emulator?  there's a lot of lingo being thrown around that hasn't been explained and i'm getting very lost because of it.  thaank you very much in advance!!
