A few questions.

I was wondering what the difference between this filter and regular magnification filters is?

Also, I read somewhere That MSAA was added. How does one achieve this godly setting, oh wise guru's of the ds. wink
Oh and also, how do I fullscreen with the 4x magnification filter on, while keeping both screens on my monitor?

Re: A few questions.

that filter doesnt magnify. its implemented in hardware and the others are software. it's separate because it comes for free with opengl, and no other kind of filter does.
MSAA was added for hackers to use by modifying the source code. theres no way for you to turn it on.
you fullscreen with X option on the same way you fullscreen without X option on. theres no difference.

Re: A few questions.

Thanks for the reply zero, but there is a problem with me fullscreening with 4x on. With hq2xs on, it full screens perfectly, fitting both screens on the monitor. When I do it with hq4x on, part of the top screen is cut off and goes off of the monitor. I would screenshot, but it won't let me. My screenshots all turn out with no video display.

Giving you more detail, im currently using the opengl graphic plugin for the emulator, I play with the screens displayed horizontal, and my desktop resolution is 1600x900.

Re: A few questions.

Theres a bug/shortcoming in desmume that prevents the window from shrinking below 1x. 256x4 = 1024 and therefore too much to fit in your screen vertically. I suspect that's whats happening now. You should wait until a View menu option appears that permits resizing window below 1x, that's probably what will fix it for you. However, that restriction should not be applying to fullscreen mode, so maybe someone will fix that independently. Unfortunately this code is all horrible and needs total rewriting.

Hmm it may also be because the letterboxing code receives a request to go out of bounds of the screen and malfunctions. Theres a lot of bugs here, it wouldnt be easy to fix.

Re: A few questions.

Okay, thanks. I'll stick to hq2xs for the time being. smile
