Help Please

I keep getting this problem, when I try to play the game this keeps happening "Could not erase data. Turn the power off and reinsert the game card."

Change the save type manually to be the same as the game one.

Search for what type of save the game has (google), and then look in the menus to set it up.

I looked every where and I can't find where to set it up in the menu. Can you clarify a bit more?
