How do you emulate the DS?

Expanding on my question, what are the things done to do emulation? Owning the console to be able to peak inside it?

Also, if someone went full-time with emulation, will development speed up?

I believe if this question were fully answered, after the great labors of the author, the contents would be at least $20 on amazon. But there should be lengthy web articles about it without someone here needing to write a new one.

You dont need to own a console in order to emulate it, if youre satisfied using other people's research and documentations.

Yes. Although I admit I only answer it that way because I can't imagine how it could possibly be otherwise.
