We won't make a 3DS/2DS emulator.

Desmume 0.7.2 will sometimes freeze on saving a state

I don't know why, but every time I got to save a state, it will sometimes freeze and I'll have to close it through task manager. I have the newest Zlib dll in the same folder as it, and it runs under Windows XP 32bit. The only game I've been playing on it is Phoenix Wright Justice For All, which seems to run smoothly otherwise.

I have no error message. It just freezes sometimes when I save/load a state. And it happens often, but not every time I try it.

Nevermind. I beat the game, and determined that maybe this isn't that great of an emulator after all...

I'm sorry, it's a great emulator, but obviously still suffers from stability issues. Not with the actual rom, but with the program and the zlib driver itself.

And that's how you show that you don't have the slightest idea about what you're talking about...

Else, just fix it on current source.

How would I do that?

Not quite. Sometimes it's the OS environment that causes problems.

I seem to have found a temporary fix to the problem (and I've seen the same report of the same bug I've got on the bug report on the Desmume's project page's bug report forum). Basically, I turned off the indexing service for my entire C drive, changed the security for all the emulator files (add user EVERYONE and allowed all rights for that user in the security tab for all the emulator files, including the save states), I run the rom in a seperate folder from the emulator, I optimized my computer using Cacheman 5.0 (http://www.outertech.com/?_charisma_pag … 6ab527d84c), setting up all the services like said in this guide (http://members.internettrash.com/megapo … tweak.html), and using the memory, disk, and registry optimizing portions of the Windows XP guide here: http://www.tweakguides.com/TGTC.html.

Also, when it does freeze, I click start > run > winmgmt /clearadap .

It does freeze from time to time, but alot less often.
