Save transferring help

I was just wondering, I put a lot of work on pokemon black using Desmume 9.7 and I was just wondering since I plan on getting the actual game this week, is there a way to transfer the save from my emulator to the actual DS System? Is there a converter or something? I'm not sure what save format the actual DS saves as so I was just wondering.

Re: Save transferring help

it can be done in principle for most games using either a pro action replay or a flash cart + eepinator. however i don't know how well those approaches work for pokemon games which use a larger save chip than other games. someone here may know but youll find better information on a pokemon gamers forum.

Re: Save transferring help

Rather than getting the actual game, get a flashcart, which you can easily convert the DeSmuME state to a raw save file.

Why? What if he used a ROM to try the game, liked it and now he wants to use the authentic game?

If anyone wants to actually use a real cart in an emulator forum, don't try to stop him :X

yeah, it was just an idea seeing as he wants to transfer his save file to a retail cart.

Re: Save transferring help

And this just tipped over from the ambiguous into the blatantly piracy-related. Closed.

Re: Save transferring help

maybe he had the retail cart, dumped it himself, and then lost it, and so restarted his progress on emulator, and then found it again and wants to send it back to the cart.  you never know. still ambiguous to my eyes
