I have identified the bug. the emulation of sprites wrapping around the screen is wrong. For example in these case that fail, very large sprites are positioned at the bottom of the screen and expected to wrap around to the top.
I don't have time to fix it now, but it will get fixed sometime soon. Don't hold your breath, it could be some weeks.
