Constant white screen

Whenever I open up a rom with DeSmuME and hit execute, both screen turn white and stay white. The frame rate at the top jumps around, usually staying near 60..Anyone know why I can't play any games? It only does this with Pokemon Pearl, Mario 64 DS, Advance Wars, and Mario Kart all show up, but constintly blink.

Pokemon Pearl and Mario Kart aren't compatible, so don't expect to get any results. As for the rest, do you get the same results on ALL games you tried? If so, computer specs would be helpful
