Firmware settings now work!!

After the last change to cvs by masscat, US games that run as JAP ones, like Puyo Pop Fever and Konami Classics Series - Arcade Hits, are in proper English now.
Congrats!

EDIT:  Scooby-Doo! Unmasked, Sonic Rush, True Swing Golf and Theme Park too. The last one even reads the info stored in the dummy firmware tongue

Re: Firmware settings now work!!

The dummy firmware is currently hard coded as English which is not so good if you happen to live in Japan for example. Maybe in the future the language setting will be configurable through the command line/menus/config.

Re: Firmware settings now work!!

As Serio said its configurable from config/firmware and i should know as i added it, but i haven't done much with desmume for weeks/months but the system i put in place should be portable to all the supported host systems

I assume that this is in the Windows build, I use linux mostly which is why I missed it.
It does not feed into the building of the dummy firmware so I shall having a look at correcting this and making a similar feature available on the other builds.

Re: Firmware settings now work!!

Firmware language setting is now in the CVS.

Linux builds use a --fwlang=<LANG_INT> command line option (see --help for the <LANG_INT> values).

Windows can edit the firmware language through the menus. You can also change other firmware settings (nickname etc) from this dialogue box. The firmware settings are saved to/loaded from the config ini file so will be preserved.
