The screen keeps on blinking, though the game (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney) can run. Is there anything I can do about this?

The version is 7.1, and I'm running it on Windows Vista 32bit.

Exact system specs and graphics card driver version would help, but I can't test stuff on Vista, as I don't have it installed (neither will I in the upcoming future).

I have a flickering problem too, but its also the boundary boxes for the sprites that get shown and its very very slow running. Through the flickering I can see the sprites, but they flicker so fast I was unable to get a screenshot of the sprites being shown. It also happens on the opening too. I only have the 2 castlevania roms, so I'll try others. I recall something about a compatibility list of roms?
Nvidia Geforce 5700ve with ver 7.1 under windows xp.

Well, it's strange, as not a single sprite is used on the lower screen on those two games. All what is drawn is done with the DS 3D core, thus using your PC graphics card. It's rather strange that is shows half the frame correctly and the other half incorrect
