Yep, I guess the Speed Fan can sometimes detect the temperature wrong. Instead of 50 and 58 C, it maybe 40 or 48 C. But even though, try all solutions given by me and other posters is switch to soft rasterizer, check for viruses, try other programs, try other emulators, try upgrading/downgrading your graphics card, try different exe in the downloaded archive, try unzip the emulator into a folder, or try formatting your HDD, or all of those didn't help, try buying a new computer with a new graphics card that supports SSE2. Also, since this is seems not a desmume's problem, I don't think we should submit this bug to the bug tracker. But it is still a good idea to do so.
I want to be a programmer.

0.9.4 and No$GBA are about the same temperatures. Around 44-49C. My other programs, Zbrush, Maxon Cinema 4D, Lightwave, Final Fantasy XI, ePSXe, PCSX2 0.9.6, MAME, run fine for hours just the same. It only happens when I use 0.9.5. About the SSE2, I thought most Core 2 Duo processors came with SSE2. I looked up E4500 (The one i'm using) and found this:
MMX instruction set
SSE
SSE2
SSE3
Supplemental SSE3
EM64T technology
Execute Disable Bit technology
So it does have SSE2. That much is covered. Maybe I don't have a proper cooling system.

personally i think ati wrote a bad driver for a new card for old windows xp. maybe none of those other apps use directdraw and push it as hard as desmume does. have you tried turning off video acceleration yet?

Yes and yes. Running it for about 40 minutes with no freezing so far.

Alot of the games run except for 2 games. Resident Evil and Castlevania Order of Ecclesia. Resident Evil just won't load and the emulator randomly crashes with Order of Ecclesia on the Kalidus Channel stage. Probably because there's ALOT going on in the background on top of the game running very slow under capped CPU power but i'm just guessing.
