Can't open ROM, stops at 99% and shows a white screen.

Subject says it all. I downloaded Desmume and tried Opening the Scribblenauts ROM that I had(which I'm sure works). It will say 99% at the top of the window and won't do anything but show a white screen. Anyone have any idea what's wrong?

It should load in about 30 seconds-a minute

Err, I've waited about 20 minutes now. :[ Don't think that's the problem, but thanks!

I've also tried to open my Warioware: Touched ROM (.nds) file, but it just stops at 99% and the screen stays white. Maybe I should reinstall Desmume? >.< Aye, any help would be much appriciated.

Re: Can't open ROM, stops at 99% and shows a white screen.

Ok, after much Googling, I've found how to fix the problem! I am not sure which of these did the trick although..

Config -> 3D Settings -> Choose SoftRasterizer as the Renderer.
Config -> Emulation Settings -> Tick Use 8MB debugger mode when starting execution.
Config -> Save Type -> EEPROM 64Kbit.

Re: Can't open ROM, stops at 99% and shows a white screen.

none of those things ought to fix any game with a white screen at startup. Its conceivably that item 3 would work, but you would have to be using an old desmume. Why would you do that?
Scribblenauts is explicitly addressed in our faq, but apparently some people know other ways to get it working.
