Saving Problem on Mac for Pokemon Platinum

No- this is not the problem addressed in the FAQ but an entirely different problem as far as I can tell. When saving on a new game in Pokemon Platinum on the Mac version of 0.9.4, the save file appears to be created properly, but when loaded flashes briefly to the save file screen before giving this error message:

"A communication error has occurred. If you were in the Union Room you will be returned there. In all other cases, you will be returned to wherever you last saved. Please press the A Button."

Pressing the A button takes you to a white screen that does not go anywhere else. I'm aware that the Mac version doesn't appear to have any dedicated programmers, but I was wondering if anyone else had come across this type of error and had any suggested workarounds?

this is probably due to the wifi register emulation not being enabled in the osx 0.9.4 build. you are out of luck for now, unless you can run the windows desmume in wine. we'll try to have that turned on in the 0.9.5 release for osx

Thanks for taking the time to reply- it's a relief to know that the problem is something that is ultimately fixable. I'll just wait until I can try the newest version.
