Differences between Interim and Release

I've been looking around help files and the forums, and I didn't see any information on this. When I go to compile/run Desmume in Visual C++ 2008, I can choose from multiple options of the type I want to build (Debug, Release, Interim).

What's the difference between the Interim SSE2 and the Release SSE2?

Thanks

Re: Differences between Interim and Release

I think the only difference is to encourage people not to make release builds that call themselves "release", distribute it to the public, and confuse people with what version they have. Interim is what you should use unless you are a release manager.

Re: Differences between Interim and Release

So I guess there is no difference in performance or settings in the Interim. It's just another name for it.

thx
