Spirit Tracks, Spirit Tower floor 8 not showing light

So the 8th floor in spirit tracks doesn't show the light from the braziers in the entrance nor the entire floor. If I use the boomerang on the braziers it shows the animation that indicates that the boomerang is on fire but yet there is no light coming from it nor the braziers. Can some one help me with this?

sounds like a problem you might have due to using a very old version of desmume or not having changed the renderer in config > 3d settings
