Mac recently updated and desmume stopped working

So my mac decided to update and now its on version 10.15.4 of Catalina and i tried to run desmume and it didn't work. I tried re downloading the newest version again and installing but it still wouldn't work. Am i screwed and can't use it anymore until a new update is released? If so I hope a new one releases soon I'm just trying to continue my heartgold playthrough to pass time during this quarantine sad. Any help would be appreciated thank you

Re: Mac recently updated and desmume stopped working

openemu uses desmume internally. I don't know what version. newer desmume fixes some bugs, adds high resolution 3d. dunno if openemu has any of that because I dont know what version it uses
openemu changes the "chrome" on top of the emulator concerning what screen layout options there are and stuff like that. I dont use mac so I dont know what the differences are. Nobody else is likely to reply to you, so you will just have to figure it out on your own.

Next time consider disabling automatic updates, now that you know they ruin software you use.
