I can see the saved game file in the folder but doe not detect it within the game itself. I tried loading the saved states I had for it but got an error saying" error loading halfway through."

Well I dont know whats the cause of my problem is but after some playing around it seems to maybe only be at certain parts in the game. I do not know but as of now Its fixed and working properly. I thought maybe Saved States was causing it but that's not it.

OK. Can you please tell me my optimal settings then for my PC specs.

I5 3570K 4.5GHZ
2GB 6950
8GB DDR3

Is my system beefy enough? I would sure hope so as I can run most PS2 game at 4x native res at 60+FPS

Also changing the interpolation does nothing at all. There is no change.

Thanks

The buzzing sound is gone but now the sound is all static and distorted. The music plays fine but its the sound FX that are the problem.  The sound settings are all set to what I found what they should be set to for this game.

Synchronous

Synch Method P

XA2 Audio

Buffer Size 5880

Cosine for best sound..

Advanced SPU is on

Any ideas?

Thanks

Could someone tell me what it all means when you display the FPS in on the HUD. I know the first number is current FPS but what does the 2nd number mean after the /? What do the % numbers inside the () mean? Is their anyway to raise the 2nd number in 60/30 as an example. Is their a way to raise 30 into 60 per say?

Thank you

I got a slightly weaker CPU than you do and I can run most games fine at 60fps. Theirs a trick involved to this that I found out for doing so. The trick is to turn the Frame Skip setting up to 9. Also under emulation settings turn off Enable Advanced Bus-Level Timing option for more speed increase as well. I got a regular 1.66GHZ Duo core CPU and with this config setup I am able to run most games at 60fps if not all but with some be a slight slowness in some at parts but not by that much. It will generally be at 60fps though.

seems to work fine for me, although i dont have years of my life to spare figuring out how to save inside that game. subsequent boots knew the savefile was initialized. does your save keep re-initializing or do you just discover that your in-game saves never stick around after restarting the emulator?

Uhhh.... I tried it out with another game and it seems to work fine with it. The game is Radiant Historia. I guess it just doesn't work with Tales of Hearts.  As far as I know the save file doesn't re-initialize or do anything because I only seen the creating save data screen once and that was it. So as far as I'm aware it should be their still.

I'm sorry but it seems like this has been asked before and I did search the forums but did not find the answer/solution I was looking for. I see that the emulator puts the in game saves in a battery folder and my save is located there but however the game fails to recognize that their is even a save to begin with. I even tried setting the path in the config menu to where my battery folder is located on my drive and still nothing. Am I doing something wrong here or is it possibly the game itself along how the emulator wants to recognize the save file? I am using the latest version of the emulator itself as well.

On a side note the save states work fine. I just thought that the in game saves would be better to use but......

Thanks for the help

#11 Re: Support II (decommissioned) » Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days,,,,, » 2010-10-04 21:08:18

I decided to post in here as my problem pertains to this game.

The issues I'm having are repeating sound for voices with sync mode N. So I changed the sync mode to P and that stops the repeating of the words but now the sound has lag/slowness to it but it ain't that bad though. I am also getting graphical glitches as well. I have uploaded a video of it doing so. Its a Megaupload link that contains the vid.

I'm a filthy pirate

The Vid is only 30 secs long but it does show the graphical glitches I am receiving with the game itself. Also to note that it does this quite often I also noticed while watching the vid itself that the sound recorded from the game to the file sounds perfect as well. its like watching a VHS tape on a VCR with tracking problems. So specs seem to be a big issue for obvious reasons and they are listed below.

AMD opteron 270 2.0GHZ CPU x2
6GB RAM
512MB Nvidia 8800GT

I also tested out another game for reassurance and it was Tales of Innocence and that played fine and well for everything.  Also from reading the posts here that its fully compatible with this emulator and yet its giving me these issues as I mentioned above.

I don't know how much more detailed I can be about my issues for this and maybe someone can help me address them.

P.S I tried fooling around with the graphic settings as well and nothing seems to work or I should say the 3D settings putting it on OpenGL or the other one does nothing. Th issue only lies within the games cut scenes though.

If you need more info then what I have given you please let me know and thanks for everything.
