i cant save when i just walk down the stairs, not on platinum, not in ss / hg not in pearl, i just want to play 1 of the new versions i dont care which one.  ive tried on 9.4 and 9.4+ so it must either be my rom or my pc. i can save normally in 9.6 but it takes insanely long and plays the game-music on maybe 10% speed while it saves, but atleast its something.

what i did to that pokemon ss that couldve corrupted the save was:
it kept crashing on every wild encounter or trainer battle on 2 routes, no matter how many times i reloaded a savestate or if i completely started over. what i did was use a repel and dodge all the trainers, then saved when i got past it.
maybe i shouldve not saved after a big glitch like that? it also lagged like hell when walking those routes, still does.

anyway thanks for all your time and effort, i appreciate it. i guess i will have to suck it up and start over from the start.
only thing i am really afraid of is that it happens again on 9.6 and then i played the entire start twice for nothing.

ive been using several roms, so probably a messed up rom aswell. they all worked the same though.
as for cheats i used the black screen fix code for the AR and the steal pokemon from other trainer one. the reason i didnt save was cause it wouldnt let me. ever since the very start it just refused to save, it still refuses now if i start over. that goes for every rom i try.

also the reason i have 9.4 is because the site i got the games from had links to all the official emulator sites, and for desmume it sent me to an outdated one where 9.4 was newest. so it seems they linked to all the official homepages, yet for desmume they for some reason decided to link to an outdated un-official site..

and btw just so you know, i never saved a state with the AR codes still active

but the main reason im so sure this is not from cheating or whatever, is cause i was never able to save from the start, and the first time i tried to save was 5 seconds after select the male char and picking a name, before setting a single step. and even then it already froze on the ingame save.

are you trying to open my savestates on 9.4 or 9.4+ ?? if you try on a newer version ofcourse it wont let you open the savestate.

i have messed with it for like 12 straight hours now, trust me i know how saving works.
it just plain freezes every single time i try.

my last resort was trying 9.4+
loading the savestate here, then setting the save settings to flash 4mbit and clicking "force as current" then saving ingame.
but it still freezes when i do that.

however, ive tried different roms and savestates work aslong as you rename them to match the rom. soooo, if you actually have a rom that can save ingame on 9.4 or 9.4+, you could theoretically take my savestate, rename it, then save ingame and export it.

then i would have a working exported save to use in 9.6, in which i could continue playing without the crash i kept getting on 9.4

my question: can you do this for me?

ive now tried all roms with all save settings, all just kinda freeze on the dont turn off the power screen.

i cannot find this .config folder, its not in my users/mmyusername/.config

i looked at that thread but i cannot seem to find it in any way and do not understand what they are saying about finder.locate and terminal??

EDIT: maybe you assume i use mac? i use xp.
so where is this .config place where i need to move my saves on xp?

EDIT2: and also, i did copy the old dsv to the new directory of desmume 9.6, same goes for the .ds3 file (the specific state that is the furthest along in the game)
