I really don't think you're using desmume 0.9.13, more likely a more recent nightly build.

You can see my version here, it seems to be a mac problem if I'm correct?

Anyhow take a look when you want.

With your DSV (thanks!) I'm looking at a beautiful snowfield with no graphics bugs in desmume 0.9.13 when using softrasterizer. opengl renderers manifest the bug. now I am gently suggesting user error, try harder to select softrasterizer. It's incredibly unlikely, approaching impossibility, if not exactly equal to that, to have this bug on softrasterizer on mac but not windows. it just doesn't make any sense. If the game can boot and run then it can run softrasterizer reliably, and softrasterizer runs this scene with no errors.

Could you post a screenshot?

I can repro on the second battle. choosing softrasterizer fixes it. This should be the save file, just rename the rom to Bonus-FE12 or rename the save file, whichever.

Tell me if if works?

Also the broken tiles are like that on on every maps.

See the maps on this site for how they're supposed to look.

So I switched 3D rendering from SoftRasterizer to OpenGL, but the map is still very blocky, anyone know anything about this issue with FE12?

I fiddled around with other options and still see no alternative?

Can anyone else try FE12 and see if they can get the map tiles to display properly?

Maybe I should make a new topic?

I don't know where the TXT hack option is, can you explain that?

I just wanna know which option can fix the tiles for the Fire Emblem DS games.

I'm also not seeing the option to screenshot in Desmume 9.13? All I can do is set preferences for it. In 9.11, "save screenshot as", was the first option in the tool's tab for desmume?

I'm using Mac as said before, where are the 3D settings, are they in display or is it in the view tab?

Is 3D rendering settings what I want, do I change the 3D rendering engine from OpenGL to softRasterizer?

Also yes, my version of FE12 is named Bonus-FE12, because I have a regular save file and a save file with the DLC pre-installed (the version called "Bonus-FE12").

Here's a cheat file from my previous 9.11, tell me if it works for you or if its blank, because when I load it on 9.11, there are files in it?

Do cheat files carry across versions? Also I remembered my save state files were from 9.8.

Wait so even on windows savestates are NOT compatible between versions unlike emulators like snes9x?

I’ll give my other cheat files when I get on desktop.

When I go back to 9.11, the save states load seem to load and my old cheats are there, but once I load the state, it states the cartridge has been removed and restarts.

Anyone know how I get the cheats to load in my 9.13 cheat manager, I copied them into the folder?

Also I've been playing Shadow Dragon and New Mystery on my DS, but the tiles for the game's maps always come out looking weird.

Here's an imgur link to showcase the issue.

Should I try updating to macos monterey, is Desmume compatibility better with that version

I'm using DeSmuME v0.9.13 on Mac Mojave, but whenever I try loading my DST saves, it says "Save state failed to load" or it loads, but than says the "Cartridge has been removed" and restarts.

Is there anything I can do? Will transfering these files to a windows desmume result in them loading there?

BTW is it possible to commission/donate to help new versions of Desmume?

Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon is a rather popular game, chances are high someone else plays it on mac desmume or is willing to try it.

I like the interface of Desmume more and neither of those two emulators can do Action replay very well.

Looks like 9.9 works even worse, 9.10 works similarly to 9.11.

9.8 worked the best but Sierra no longer runs it.

Thats just my experience so far.

I wonder if other mac users using git#be2735b3 have the same problem with Shadow Dragon?

First off something that happens to both versions of Desmume is whenever I start a game, I have to unpause/hit execute when in older version, once I load the game, Desmume is already in execute mode.

I've mentioned this in the past and got no clear answer but in Desmume v0.9.11, whenever I manually alter the Desume Window's size and close the application, when the desmume program is re-oppened, the application window is back to the default size rather then staying at the size I stretched it too last time. On my older Desmume on my older mac, the application remembers the previous window size when I re-open the program.

With git#be2735b3, I've noticed at least with Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, the games sprite tilesets are often messed up or glitched such as movement arrows taking too long to disappear or tiles being split too far apart then they should be in the regular game.

I can post some screenshots too. Is the last bit caused or able to be fixed by any graphical option, are there any plans for a future version of Desmume for mac?

take them out of that folder. boot the game in the new desmume. start a new game and then close it. did desmume put any .dsv files in the application support folder? if not, then you have your answer: that's not the right folder

Just had the chance to do that this weekend, I deleted the old v0.9.12 and loaded it up again, it created another v0.9.11 folder in my application support. However this time, I ignored the migration assistant and put the files in manually, it worked.

Notably the same files were put in the old v0.9.12 support folder, how odd?
