So I'm trying to transfer Pokemon from Diamond/Pearl/Platinum to Black and White (2). Is it possible or would I have to use a third party application to transfer the Pokemon between the saves?

Basically what I'm asking is if wireless is possible between two Desmume programs.

Hey! I'll suggest to use a program called PkHex to transfer Pokémons between games/generations. It works wonders. Just open two windows of the program and drag the mons in the boxes, from one window to another with your two games.

Oh my goodness, thank you so much!!! So, I'd have to save (within the game instead of a save state in desmume) then just restart it like you would in a normal soft reset and load the in-game save? Just making sure it still works in Desmume!! smile smile smile thank you!

Hello, so I am currently playing Pokemon Platinum, using Desmume. I am trying to catch a shiny Uxie.

I have a save state right before the encounter with Uxie. I encounter, see no shiny, then hit F1 and reset the save state to before the encounter. Does this constitute as a "Soft Reset"?? As in, will this method even work since I am not technically loading the actual games "save"? Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Sophia! I personally tested this. You will never get a shiny Uxie reloading savestates. The result you'll get is the same identical Uxie every time, instead of rerolling it with a proper soft reset. Hope this helps!

That's right! Good luck on your shiny hunt smile

Let's start by saying that i'm a big fan of old ds games, and Desmume has given me a opportunity to always be able to play them (i hope). My concern is only really how and if desmume (if its not being updated) will be compatible will future windows updates? I would be very sad if i one day, suddenly the emulator will no longer work. As you may have guessed, i'm not a very techy person, so feel free to laugh if my question is stupid.

I've now been using DeSmume for a couple of months and only wanted to praise all you developers for the hard work. I can't even begin to imagine all the time you have sunked into this. The only complain i have is that i can't give you a donation for making it possible to relive my childhood once again. Cheers to you all and wishing you the best.
