with that weak processor, some games are destined to be choppy and you have no recourse. you may also try issuing --num-cores=1 on the commandline
I will give that a shot.
So would I really need something more along the lines of a Quad core? What about something like the i7 2630QM? Its 2.0GHz, 4 core/8 thread.
Hey everyone. I have an Alienware M11X R2 on Windows 7 with:
CPU: i7 640UM 1.2GHz (2 Cores, 4 Threads) Overclocked to 1.67GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 335M Overclocked
RAM: 4GB
Ive tried a few games running at the 1x resolution. I still get a lot of lag and choppy audio.
-Ive set the program to run in realtime
-All other applications closed
-Turned interpolation off in sound
-Tried playing with the other sound settings
-Adjusted frame skip to different levels
Nothing really seems to fix the choppiness and the sound issues. Is the CPU just not powerful enough?
