i uploaded the harvest moon savefile here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZQ16HRUG (european version)
There are two savegames, first one is the bugged one. use the teleporter to teleport to volcano island and see the disaster^^
second one was the testfile i created to see if it is always bugged. there you can see the island how it is supposed to look.


the pokemon games are not supported? they run really well for me, with the exception of that lil bug in one of the editions.^^

funny note: i tried to re-create the bug in heartgold with the same savegame. however it is no longer bugged o0 unluckily i dont know what fixed it xD

okay forget that .. apparently i destroyed the savefile myself -.-
i used an action replay cheat that caused all this mess ... blame me xD

Heya all,

ive been playing several games with desmume (0.9.7 x64) and encountered a very weird bug in a few games.

when entering specific places the graphics get weird. after leaving that specific place in any way, the bugged screen turns black and doesnt react to input (so one is forced to load an older savestate or reset the game).
examples:
in pokemon gold, when entering the house of the aprico master, he and his lil girl looked like black quadrangles. when leaving the house, screen turned black.
in harvest moon sunshine island, when entering volcano island by any means (teleport or boat) everything looks completely bugged. again, when entering the volcano or leaving the isle, the screen turns black (not the upper screen, which doesnt bug there).

this might be caused by massive usage of savestates in any way. when re-starting a bugged game(starting a "new game"), it seems to all work properly.

so my question would be, is there any way to circumvent this bug, like forcing a reload of the graphics or something?
i know it is fixed by restarting the game from the beginning, but then there is a chance the bug will occure again.
would be neat to have some way to fix this.

other info: once an area is bugged, neither opengl nor softrasterizer with any option enabled/disabled are able to display it properly. importing the original nds bios didnt fix it either xD
i dont know if it is possible to prevent that bug from happening in the first place. any information on this would be helpful.


hope someone here encountered similar problem(s) and might have a solution.

edit: just to note, i tried using such a bugged savegame with no$gba. there, the screen instantly turns black as soon as i enter a bugged area.
