Go to the "Microsoft Visual C++ runtime Error HELP [Mario and Luigi (Bowser)]"
thread for help and preferably try to use the 9.5 version and convert your saves.

Have you tried using soft rasterizer on config?That could be the problem.

I agree with Dio on this one,it might just be the type of computer you have,mine is Windows 7.[I have the same problem]
And to the Admin.
when I checked the userlist why is there so many
users who've been banned for spam or etc.?
For example the "!!!buy_drugs" user.

What you prabably NEEDED to do is:
Go to config[this happened to me too]click on 3D Graphics,put softrasterizer[or something like that]and the rest is quality-speed.
