Oh, it works at last! Thanks for fixing it!:D
Thanks, but now I got the following errors: '1>rarvm.obj : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol "unsigned int __cdecl CRC(unsigned int, void const *,unsigned int)" (?CRC@@YAIIPBXI@Z)' and '1>unrar_misc.obj : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol "void __cdecl InitCRC(void)" (?InitCRC@@YAXXZ)'.
Hello!
When I tried to compile the latest SVN build of DeSmuMe, I was unable to compile the binary.
The build log reported about 12 errors and 2 warnings.
The error I got was '1>c:\users\user\desmume source\src\windows\file_extractor\fex\blargg_common.h(102) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'stdint.h': No such file or directory'. This error I think repeats about 12 times in the build log.
The warnings I got are: '1>.\File_Extractor\unrar\unrar.cpp(309) : warning C4291: 'void *Rar_Allocator::operator new(size_t,void *) throw()' : no matching operator delete found; memory will not be freed if initialization throws an exception
1> c:\users\user\desmume source\src\windows\file_extractor\unrar\rar.hpp(72) : see declaration of 'Rar_Allocator::operator new' and '1>.\File_Extractor\unrar\archive.cpp(6) : warning C4355: 'this' : used in base member initializer list'.
I also get this error, '1>'7z' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
1>operable program or batch file.' early in the build log.
Please fix it.
P.S sorry if I can't post the whole build log, as it is very long. But if you want I can post it.

I get that message while compiling the latest SVN build.
When trying to compile the WX version of DeSmuMe, I get this;
1>c1xx : fatal error C1083: Cannot open source file: '..\utils\mkgmtime.cpp': No such file or directory
What's wrong?
If I re-copy the executable files from 0.9.6, my settings will return?
Update: The 0.9.7 executable wiped my old settings ahhh! But at least re-configuration is better at least I have a backup of my saves, savestates and cheats.
Update 2: Saves and cheats still work! Just use the path configuration.
I have a backup, but my current settings are gone. I guest it uses the same .ini file but why it is all gone?
Hint: I overwrite the executable files of 0.9.6 with the new one.
Nope, still the same.
Maybe I should do a clean check out?
Edit: finally works after clean check out!
Maybe there's a conflict in resources.rc.
Sorry if this has been asked, I'm too lazy to go through all posts. By the way, I got this error while building DeSmuMe under Visual Studio 2008:
1>.\resources.rc(1754) : fatal error RC1067: compiler limit : identifier overflowed internal buffer
Any clue about this error?
Hi,
Today I just update the SVN sources of desmume. But when it complete, it say in the end that files are in a conflix state.
Does that mean that the compile will fail when I try to build desmume?
Lol, this 1 year old thread and there is still replies!
How can I change the version string displayed in the title bar of desmume using Visual C++? And will that change be lost when I update the SVN code?
Also, what version of Windows you'l using?
Windows Home Premium doesn't mean anything, Windows me/98/95 is like Windows Home Premium, Windows XP Home/Vista Home Premium/7 Home Premium are all represents Windows Home Premium. There are lots of Windows versions that claimes to be Windows Home Premium.
1. Please give details about your computer spects.
2. Please tell which versions of Windows youl talking about.
3. What version of desmume are you using?
My perfect solution for you!
Rename your savefile.dsv to the same name as your new patch, then you can continue your savegame!
Upgrade to 0.9.5.
0.9.4 is still too buggy for Pokemon.
0.9.5 and 0.9.6 SVN are more stable.
Nice idea, I would request that also.
Thanks a lot!
Jus want to ask,
Will the cheat and save file format change in 0.9.6? I check the latest SVN, the cheats from 0.9.5 no longer works, and I can't lode my savegame from 0.9.5 anymore.
If so, how can I import my cheats/savefile from 0.9.5 when I migrate to 0.9.6 in the future? I know 0.9.6 is not release yet, but just want to ask a head of time.
Or you might be a victum of the -32000 problem. Delete the ini file to fix it.
I had no trouble running it on both Windows XP and Windows 7, both on a virtual machine and on my real pc without computer freezes at all. Even though my computer is older than yours, but my drivers are good. If upgrade/downgrade your drivers doesn't work, then try downgrading to Windows XP and test if the freeze still occurs.
1. What is your system spects?
2. What version of DeSmuMe are you using?
3. Try update your drivers to fix your problem.
4. Or try check for dust. If your computer is overheating while playing the game, then the emulator will often freeze your computer.
Just a test before upgrading my actual desktop to Windows 7 Professional. But like I said, using frameskip 5 speeds up the emulator a bit, at least in a playable speed. The using frameskip method in the FAQ really helps especially on a slow machines, so anyone running Windows 7 had experience the slowness problem, use the frameskip method explained in the FAQ. Also migrating saves between my virtual machine and my desktop works, I can continue the save point I had made with Windows 7 virtual machine in my desktop!
Manage to solve my slowness problem by setting frameskip to 5.
DeSmuMe is really the best DS emulator today, because it supports Windows 7 and it can even run on a virtual environment like a virtual machine.
