OK, so I've got Desmume to open on my mac but for some reason when I try to open a game the program shuts down immediately, I'm using a mac book pro with the Leopard OSX version 10.5.8, is it something wrong with the game files? because can't find .nds files I've had to covert them from .7z, can anyone give me some insight as to whats going on?

you need to extract the files from the archives which is a .7z file or .zip file etc. download a software such as WinRAR and open the 7z file to extract the .NDS file.

Did you read the FAQ?
Best way short of upgrading your CPU is to change the CPU priority of desmume in the task manager.
Offline
yeah but I have a mac, the closest thing to task manager is activity monitor, and that doesn't seem to do anything...

Well, then, welcome to out-of-luckville, population: most of us

Mac users are not the majority, neither as Desmume users nor computer users, accept it, it's a fact.

for the record, I meant most of us as in it seems a lot of people have speed problems with the emulator, with no real solution except upgrading CPU
desmume is worse on my cpu than gta4, but that's a fact of life and emulation
