save state problems

I installed from source DeSmuME 0.9.4 on ubuntu jaunty 64-bit and everything worked.
However there are problems with the state.
For example, the game imagine doctor when it starts a second time after a user ha been registered returns the following error:
"the saved data could not be accessed"
if I delete the dsv file , the game continues to operate
If i use save file and then load file the game start
but after a few moments hang .
I have changed all of the type  of saves (4kbit , 64kbit ecc. ) but nothing has changed
What else can I try ?

Re: save state problems

try reading the faq to learn the differences between save files and savestates.
Quit using the manual savestate specification and rely on the autodetection.
Delete dsv AND sav file--otherwise desmume will try and import the sav and possibly get confused.
Finally, if none of that works, post a bug to the bug tracker.

Re: save state problems

several games automatically create file. dvs and the next time they are restarted reported error :
"the saved data could not be accessed" .
This happens without trying to manually save the current state of the game .
I understand that in this case I'm using Save State .
I think it's a bug, because other games create the file dsv and restart without problems .
just amazes me that many games have this problem ;
However, in the forum are few reports of this
May be the system I use to create these problems?

Re: save state problems

In this case you are not using save state. Youre using save files. If so many games have this problem, would you mind telling me which ones they are? Better make sure youve deleted the .sav first.
