Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon crash

I'm using v0.9.4 Windows and the game loads and runs fine. Until I enter the first battle, at which point the emulator crashes.
I switched back to v0.9 and there are no problems with the battles, just some missing narrative text at the start of the game. Every version after 0.9 crashes the emulator as the game enters the first battle.

My question is: should I post this in the bug tracker and if so, under what category?

you can post bugs to the bug tracker under the category bugs. try to post a savestate soon before the crash happens.
