Pokemon Platinum doesn't open start menu

Hey.

So, whenever I play Pokemon Platinum, it doesn't allow me to open the main menu so I can rearrange my pokemon, etc. I know how to save the game, but I'd like to be able to rearrange pokemon for training purposes. Any ideas?

I am using the most recent version.

EDIT: I've gone under the controls to change how to open up the start menu, but none of the changes work. I am fairly sure that this should be possible...

What "main menu"? As far as I know there is only one menu, opened with the X controller button, which is the one from where you save the game (without savestates). It should just work like any other button, by being mapped to some keyboard key (default depends on the frontend I think).

He is probably using a mac or something, some gimpy desmume build that doesnt work as well as it should. Maybe someone can record him a video of an index finger pressing 'S' on the keyboard.

There were solutions and troubleshooting steps builtin to my condescension. I thought that gave me the right to be rude, but I guess not. Did it end up being the S key?

I've looked in the F.A.Q a ton, and read the whole thing, and couldn't figure it out. It was the X key, not S. But thanks. Sorry for my rude reply as well.
