non-english forums

I thought it may be nice to have non-english forums here, so non-english-speaking users could ask why pokemon and final fantasy are not working too. Now, that means we'll need moderators for those forums. Tell me what you think of it and what languages you're speaking good enough smile (Je pense que je pourrais m'occuper du français)

Re: non-english forums

I rather dislike the idea, as the only thing we'll acomplish is having more, emptier, and repetitive forums, instead of forcing people to use english, even if it's not it's mother language: it'll be a mess, and time consuming just to check if your question has already been answered a million times... but I can moderate spanish ones.

Re: non-english forums

English speakers are more of a quality group. If someone can't speak English by the time he's in the correct age to develop/play DS games(unless he's Asian, as in Jap/Chinese), it's his problem. He should've learned it by now.

Alternate Spanish forums seem to be the most wanted alternative forum language here, so what the heck, I won't mind, (one less forum to spam in the DeSmuME forums) and the same goes for anyone else that don't speak Spanish natively would if it'll exist.

DSME = DeSmuME, the non-case sensitive ( tongue ) abbreviation.

Re: non-english forums

Like shash, i don't like the idea of having native language forums and always wondered if they were really useful.
I do see a use case for translated documentation (HOWTOs, Guides, etc.) and localized binaries tho.

Btw, it's not that i'm against foreigners, hell, i'm a quebecor (french canadian if you will). But it's a question of centralizing the information/discussions without too much pain. The current state of internet indicates me that english is the preferred language (aside from mandarin).

Re: non-english forums

I agree with no need for more forums. It's fine if the forum is big and has hundreds/thousands of active members, but this place is still kinda far from that. tongue

Re: non-english forums

Good Idea!
I just speak German and a bit English.

to XTra KrazzY:

You don´t can ??constrain?? someone to learn english because he want to use desmume.

Vielleicht noch auf Deutsch falls es nicht zu verstehen war: smile

an XTra KrazzY:
Du kannst niemanden zwingen Englisch zu lehrnen nur weil er desmume benutzen will.

Sorry for my bad english... sad

Nope. It was more about this forum. English is preferred if you want to post on the english speaking forums like this one. This place seems more development oriented, so for a casual gamer it's not really that beneficial anyway.
